There are countless reasons why we love to retreat a night or two at Middleton Inn. Seeing all the horses as we drive in, wine and cheese hour, hammocks, being riverside and walking by tiki torches to Middleton Place for a meal are just a few. Our top reason is having the trails to ourselves early morning and late evening. It is pure peacefulness with an alligator sighting or two.

In 2004, we landed in the City of Charleston and launched MCG Photography. From the beach to the air, plantations to cobbled streets, brides to babies, and events to art... we are grateful to have Charleston as our backdrop. Many thanks to those who have touched our lives from either in front of, or behind the camera. A special thank you to one of our favorite local musicians, Brendan James, for allowing us to add his lyrical grace to our anniversary tribute.
We have explored and photographed Charleston in all seasons and weather and have always witnessed beauty. It might not have been the palette of colors we were expecting, but each season has it’s own brand of magic. For those who have their heart set on a particular bloom the Middleton Place's Annual Bloom List is your best bet.

James and I are animal lovers. Or, more specifically, cat, dog and horse lovers. So when a peacock and calf choose to collaborate in our portrait session at Middleton Place, we are cautiously open to it. The little one must be in the animal whisperer camp because her interaction with the peacock and calf were magic. Loved capturing those moments of awe, wonder and even a little assertion.
