Romantic, Southern and Oh So Pretty!

from bride: “After many years of a long distance relationship we were very excited to have so many people from so far away come to the wedding. The majority of our guests flew or drove a great distance to join our celebration. It stormed like crazy the night before and also the morning of but cleared just in time for the ceremony and everything turned out beautiful. We thought we would be nervous and jittery but nope it just felt very natural. I was very, very surprised how calm and normal the day felt. Nothing "went wrong" per say, but there were definitely moment of comic relief… My parents definitely gave me the most amazingly, beautiful wedding and the in-laws threw a great rehearsal dinner as well.... ”

Wedding Grooves

Dancing at weddings makes me smile again and again. Instead of Dr. Seuss’ book ‘Oh the places you will go’ we could have a picture book named ‘oh the dances we have seen' with the little ones usually warming up the dance floor first. By the end of the night, most of the adults have donned their dancing shoes or flip flops for whirling and twirling.

Seersucker = Southern

To set the stage, Katie and Allen, said their I do’s at the Daniel Island Club which is surrounded by marsh and golf course. Sara Cavallon of Something to Celebrate managed to weave in all the elements from color to croquet while keeping the mood relaxed and fun. The bridesmaids are dressed in happy yellow seersucker dresses and the groomsmen are completed with seersucker bow ties.  Branch’s floral design incorporated pinks, oranges, corals, yellows and grapefruit. I could not have envisioned this kind of soft and pretty, but it was the perfect compliment to the sweet bride, Katie. So, if you are not feeling the Southern yet, there is more. Watermelon served outside, mother/ son dancing the Shag and a little croquet on the lawn for the bridal party. Enjoy…
