Sail Away with Me

When a sister of a former bride reaches out, it is one of the highest compliments. Mary and Chris’ said their vows in Charleston followed by a sunset sail with their closest family. The party reception happened a month later in California. We were honored to document the Charleston portion of their wedding!

They spoke their vows at Holy Spirit Greek Church which is domed, circular and has amazing acoustics. Greek wedding ceremonies has some unique elements such as the Stefana wedding crowns that are connected by a ribbon and ceremonial walking around the table three times. The ceremony is slow, paced and reverent.

The bride, groom and family all regrouped to board the Schooner Pride. The sail was relaxed, playful and celebratory.
