Micro Family Wedding at The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island

Intimate family weddings have their unique brand of magic. While many hope for sunshine on their wedding day, this couple was gifted a overcast day that graced them with incredible soft light and had a mystic feel.

Peper Events effortlessly set the stage and kept things moving while making room for family style, unscripted moments. The ladies getting ready space upstairs at the Ocean Course has a full bank of windows overlooking that provides soft, natural light that is perfect for Lashes and Lace for hair and make-up and getting ready photos. The energy of the room was calm, connected with sprinkles of laughter.

There was no ‘shoulds’ in attendance, it was all ‘want to’s’ which sounds small, but it sets a tone of Yes. The couple said their ‘I do’s’ ocean-side with their families in a semi circle around them. They were framed in by a wooden arbor that offsets the vastness of the scene.

One long table was set with tapered candles that spoke to an elegance. Pretty Petals of Charleston outdid themselves with arrangements in soft hues of blues, corals and greenery. The kiddos were entertained with fun boxes at their place settings and then proceeded to warm up the dance floor with their exuberance.
