Repeat Portrait Magic

Repeat Magic. There is something so free and fun with the families that we have played with year after year. These two little ladies greeted us with artwork. They must know our love language:) Parents tend to be more relaxed. Kiddos know what to expect and often have their own ideas as well. Grand-parents jump in. Kids play games and share authentic laughter.

Love the mom-and-daughter bright floral dresses as it fits their personalities perfectly. Dad in a contrast of royal blue and khaki and one daughter sporting a bright pop of solid pink. The choices visually frame them in the green spaces of Ocean Course Park. The park is almost to the end of the Island on the way to the Ocean Course. It is smart to allow at least 20 minutes from the second gate to Ocean Course.

Bringing a blanket that coordinates with your color palettes is always a good idea. More often than not, we do a few seated groupings. One of my favorites from this session is of the family walking away on the path towards the sunshine with their shadows behind them. This one grabs me because it is a time when holding hands in standard and their age and size are very prominent.

Photo tip : Sometimes the play portion of skipping, tickling, ring around the rosy, twirling and so on in the moment might not be what you were originally wanting from your session. And yes, we do alot of editing to mine the gem of joyful candid. Often those are the images where your kiddos unique way of being shine through the most and happen to take more time. The side benefit is that in the next curated photo where everyone is smiling at us…the smiles have a little more sparkle than when we first began. Thank you for trusting us.
