We had planned for a Folly Beach maternity session with these two, but we regrouped to James Island County Park due to high winds. James Island County Park has lush green areas, more neutral marsh spots, draping moss, a few wood bridges, floating docks, picnic tables and is dog friendly.
For maternity sessions, the mom-to-be’s outfit is pretty clutch in order to highlight the baby bump. I love dresses that shape and flow. Pink Blush Maternity has affordable, stylish options from casual to dressy. You can also search ‘maternity clothes images’ to see how you want your clothes to visually hug your belly.
I love this simplicity of the whites in contrast to greens above and the fall, woodsy feel below. As always, holler if you need help putting together your look. We can brainstorm based on your personality and our location.
While our focus was on them as a couple on the verge or parent-hood, the pups took their opportunity to be the superstars. Pup solos were required before the human kiddos joined the fold.
James Island County Park is $2 per person unless you have a county park pass. They are open during daylight hours. While we normally love the hour and ½ before sunset with the tall tree lines, we are able to start earlier. This can be a bonus if you have any teeny tiny kiddos that do better with an early bedtime. January - April: 8 a.m. - Sunset May - August: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. September & October: 8 a.m. - Sunset November-December: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
