Magnolia Plantation and Garden : Wedding

Couples hopes and wishes from our first point of contact: “We want to capture all the moments. An outdoor wedding with nature as the backdrop was always the dream and we're want to capture the day and the celebration and fun, love and craziness that is our family.” ~ bride and groom

Quirk : They opted for an ‘I do Crew’ as opposed to bridesmaids and groomsmen. Their ‘I do Crew’ was the equivalent to a hype squad or a love posse aka …a large group often with a common interest.

Preferences : They opted to not see each other prior to the wedding. I met the ladies downtown at the Francis Marion Hotel and then we jumped into Marion Square for some outdoor bridal portraits and ‘I do Crew’ grouping. James met up with the guys at the rental for getting ready and porch photos. Being able to photograph in different places at the same time helps the timeline flow and is one of superpowers of a photo-team approach.

Character : I would say these two are community builders. Their friends are also their family and their family are also their friends. Their day, the toasts, the shot-list, the details, the ceremony, the gathering spaces for cigars, dancing, conversation all build on the theme of ‘better together’.
