The Gibbes Museum of Art presents a 5 days of ALL things ART. There is something for everyone from design, food, artisans, lectures, education and classes. For me, it is a whirlwind of imagery, candids and relationships.
Day 1 and 2 : Art of Design Sponsor Party and Art of Design Luncheon
Hosted by the Women’s Council, AOD is a mainstay of design and inspiration. Guest Hannah Cecil Gurney of de Gournay shared the evolution of hand-made wall paper and the behind the scenes process. Salthouse Catering goes big and beautiful on this menu.
Day 3: Freshly Foraged by chef Kevin Mitchell
A curated and education foodie experience in the garden with live music.
Day 4 : Street Party
Best chefs in Charleston bring their best bites to the street in front of the Gibbes. Find your new favorite meal.
Day 5 : Artisan Fair
Bringing the local talent together with art lovers and an opportunity to lean about their craft. Visually wrapping it up with adult art classes and experiences. Put your creative hat on and explore. There is so much more, but I picked the visually popping events. Lectures, cocktail hours and tours are also part of the extravaganza.
