Poogan’s Porch Courtyard Wedding

From our Grooms:

The Style : Minimalism, which set the tone for both wedding and the rehearsal dinner. Grooms opted for small white lanterns and the simple jade napkins to match our wedding colors rather than florals and giant center pieces.

The Mood : Fun yet Relaxing! The day started with rain which was nerve racking considering our ceremony was set to be outdoors. Thankfully the sun came out before the wedding and it was beautiful. The mood was intimate with our 44 favorite people who kept the day fun and relaxed.

Highlights of the day : The obvious highlight is marrying the best person. Next, the people that showed up with so much love and support for us. One of the best things we did for our wedding was hire you and James, the photos are amazing, you definitely made us feel comfortable!

Hindsight and Comic Relief for another day : The only regret Danny had was buying light up cupcakes stands that he had to put together and fish the line through small holes, then having a mental breakdown in our closet because he for some reason decided that was a good place to put them together and then could not find batteries to make sure the lights worked.

Photographer’s perspective : It is always an extra honor to be part of an intimate wedding. In larger wedding, we tend to fade into the background or wallpaper. With intimate weddings, we will be in our couples line of sight more frequently and same with the guests. The joy, exuberance and love are all just a little closer due to proximity and it was definitely the case with these two.
