AROUND TOWN vs. AT HOME: 90% of our sessions are on locations. We frequent Seabrook, Kiawah, IOP, Folly Beach, Waterfront Park, The Batterie, James Island County Park, North Charleston Waterfront Park and Hampton Park. We are open to suggestions and if time allows will scout in advance to make sure the light works in our favor during our given time frame. The remainder of our sessions happen at clients homes or rentals. In house sessions are ideal for little ones. The environment is familiar and the time frames are not tied to sunrise, sunset or weather.
CLOTHING COMBOS: We use pinterest to share color combinations for our portrait sessions. Sometimes pulling clothing together for 4 or 18 people can be overwhelming. Some options to consider are skin tones, personalities and if your final goal is a large print- the room where it will hang. My go to color for sessions is blue. In my opinion, shades of blue are almost universally skin tone friendly.
SHARING: If you would like to share your pinterest board with us. Our preference is that you cull the board approx 10 images that convey the mood and feel of your family. We utilize the gathered images to hone in on your style. We DO NOT recreate the shared board. Your session will blend your families personalities, lighting, chosen color palette, backgrounds and flow that will make it inspiration for other pinterest users.
