What is a bridal session? We get this question frequently especially from our non-Southern clients. Essentially it is a session where get awesome images along with spending an hour plus in your dress, your shoes and all the elements that make up your look… sash, belt, capes, veils, jewelry, headpieces and more. Most of us are not used to wearing clothing that requires assistance to go up and down stairs, sit down and simply button it up. It is a great time to get comfortable in the skin of your dress:)
The Look:
Venue - Governor Thomas Bennett House - A classic, historic venue in downtown Charleston best known for the stunning cantilevered staircase (with no visible means of support). The porches are deep and friendly, the window are tall and dramatic and the gardens generally have color or texture or both. It is also a favorite of ours for an inside/outside space. If you go to all the trouble to do hair and make-up, knowing it is a go rain or shine is peace of mind.
Dress Shop - Magnolia Bride of Charleston - Yes to this dress. First off, zoom in on the belt. It is a thing of beauty. Veil options: Instead of a veil attached to your noggin, this train-Integrated veil attached to the dress itself. Diffused and draping look. And you don’t have to remind everyone on the wedding day to wrap their arm underneath to avoid whiplash.
Hair & Make-up - Charleston I Do - It is a great time for a test run, meet your beauty team and see how the style translates in images.
