Art of Design 2015
The 2015 Art of Design luncheon brought in Hamish Bowles, International Editor at Large for Vogue Magazine!
Giving Out Gifts
How does MCG give? One way is by sharing images. Images that hopefully bring life and light to some of the good work being done to feed and house locals in need, promote wellness with the aid of horses and keep our local waterways and ocean flourishing.
Gibbes Exhibition: Art of John Westmark
One of the perks of photographing events for our local Gibbes museum is meeting the artists and witnessing them sharing their stories and gifts. John Westmark’s ‘Double Bind Series’ encompass’ the whole feminine spirit; bold, bright, movement, stillness, grace and strength. The pieces are large with up close surprises.
Gibbes Event: Street Party
If you like to eat, the Gibbes Museum Street party is your party. Keeping with the theme of East Meets West, the event incorporated belly dancing, henna body art, an open bar, more than 15 of your favorite restaurants and desserts galore in the middle of downtown Charleston.
Design as Art
In March of 2014 the Women’s Council of the Gibbes Museum hosted Charlotte Moss for the Art of Design lecture and luncheon benefiting the museum. Ms Moss, author of A Visual Life: Scrapbooks, Collages, and Inspiration, sparks the senses to be present to see the beauty that surrounds us.
Gibbes : Art Lecture
At the Gibbes invitation, I had the honor of documenting their inaugural speaker of the Distinguished Lecture Series. Leonard Lauder’s presentation of art from all perspectives grabbed me.
Gibbes Street Party
Gibbes Street Parties are sensory delights. Documenting everything from guests to culinary bites from Charleston’s top chefs, dancing in the street and live vignettes created by Willi Jones of Theater Marvelosa is visually a playground.
