Wild Dunes : extended family

We work on a number of Island that require a gate pass to enter. While we have go to’s on each island, we also meet clients at their home or rentals if that is easier or in this case another excellent photo-option. As we pull up to vacation spots, we formulate our game plan in the moment based on the group, lighting, tide and age of kiddos.

This particular spot was a treasure as it sat at the end of the street, with great stairs, a put put green framed by Palmetto trees and it let directly over a sand trap with marsh grasses to the beach. This Wild Dunes home had photo options in a compact space perfect for lots of littles and two pups.

With the extended family, we started with the whole group on the steps. Clean lines, good staggering for heights, wind protection and soft light. We did all of our combos on the steps with standing and seated versions. Two sisters incorporated their pups. We let the boys get their wiggles out on the put put course before heading out the the golf course. The light was just right and we used the Palmetto trees, sand dunes and backlight to achieve that warm magic hour feel. Often our sessions are move to the rhythm of the youngest. We lucked out with a giggling baby girl and a chilled, sleepy time little dude and two sweet big brothers.
