Ocean Course - fall feel with modern elements
Creating the Mood : “We knew we wanted our decor to underscore the natural beauty of the location and reflect the time of year, and to have a moody and irreverent twist. The starting point was tropical wallpaper and a theme began to develop around that. Choosing decor and details was my absolute favorite part of wedding planning. I had so much fun with all things floral, and was so happy with how all of the orchids and plants turned out - walking into the tent felt like entering a candlelit jungle, which was exactly what we wanted. I also loved the black candles, which felt kind of unexpected but fitting.” - the bride, Shelton (more word’ed inspiration below the photos)
Highlight Moments: “During the cocktail hour, our wedding planner (Engaging Events) surprised us with a plate of food and a moment to ourselves. We just sat for a few minutes looking out at the ocean and eating snacks. Looking back, although the entire day was so much fun and basically one long highlight, this is one of my favorite memories from the night. There were too many special moments throughout the day and weekend to really list out, but thankfully Corrie and James caught all of them on camera so that we get to relive them! ” - the bride, Shelton
The Dress and The Tux : “Zach worked with a tailor on his midnight blue tux - they did a fantastic job. He wanted something pretty classic that he could wear again. I chose a simple dress and accessorized with a black pearl choker. During the reception, I changed into a pale gold brocade dress.” - the bride, Shelton
Photographer Point of View : Shelton and Zach move independently and cohesively in a 100% authentic fashion. From the black choker necklace to black candles, no wedding party probably because they have too many best friends, sax to compliment the dj, a blue cake and crushing it on the dance floor… they enjoyed their day their way and it was excellent.
