Just Eloped on Kiawah

Kiawah Elopement Photographer

Just the two of them…and us…and the minister for their Kiawah Island elopement.

Ceremony Site : These two stepped out of the Kiawah villas and into a green space for their vows. It was a short, sweet and lovely wedding. The Bearded Florist put together a hand-tied, garden style bridal bouquet in white and creams with touches of greenery. What I love about this ceremony site is that it was not dependent on the wind or the tide and we still were able to pop out onto the beach. From there we strolled from spot to spot and let them soak up their recent ‘I do’s. Best of both worlds.

Time of Day : They had pre-set celebration dinner plans, so we met them mid day. Mid day is generally Not when we would recommend playing on the beach in the summer for photos due to heat and harsh light. But… since the ceremony site was in full shade, the front of the buildings created arches and arbors and the boardwalks were in shade… we had enough soft light to make it work for eyes and smiles at the camera. Once on the beach, we took a more lifestyle approach and then processed out some of the contrast.
