Harborside East Rehearsal and Welcome

Harborside East in Mount Pleasant is a fantastic venue for a rolling gathering of a Rehearsal dinner into a Welcome Party. The indoor/outdoor space can go from swanky, cozy and intimate to spacious and vast by simply opening the patio doors.

For this event, we started bride/groom moments and then moved through their shot list of family photos and bridal party. Cru Catering kept the circulating with delicious bite after bite of mini tacos, pimento biscuits, beef tenderloin and strawberry pound cake. Fresh Flowers Charleston dotted the tables with petite white flowers with greenery arrangements and jazzed the outside arrangements with feathers. The outdoor cocktail hour with a view of the bridge flowed into a seated rehearsal dinner complete with music, toasts and roasts.

Sweetgrass Social set up the space optimally to transition from one mode to the next. The patio doors opened to strung cafe lights by river. The rest of the wedding guests arrived for the welcome party. The couples’ pups were in attendance in spirit via the koozies and their signature drinks. Favors of little jars of honey personally pulled by the bride served as party favors. It was a night of intention. Gathering, blending and melding two families before the big day.
