Engagement Session : downtown Charleston vignettes
Engagement sessions are like warming up before a work-out. E-sessions allow the couple to get photo-comfortable, know their preferences, lean into their inner models and determine if their dog is allowed to attend the wedding. Just kidding. It is an excellent way to weave in your furfamily into your memories.
Charleston’s gift and challenge is that every street is a visual story, so fine tuning preferences and intention ahead of time helps us navigate our stroll.
In this session, we started in our classic green spaces at White Point Gardens or The Batterie using the live oaks and sunlight on the leaves frame the couple. Next we meandered through downtown streets for some Charleston-eque elements of wrought iron, exposed brick and carriage steps. The carriage steps where the perfect platform to highlight their doodle. Rounding the corner, two window boxes filled with happy blooms was the favorite find of the session.
Potato the Cavadoodle was the comic relief with wiggles and kisses. Our bride-to-be’s mom joined us as the pup wrangler and Charleston local. It is always nice to have a extra hand when pups or kiddos are involved.
