The post on Kristen and Christopher's wedding at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens by Engaging Events shared the day's sweetness. From their signature southern drinks, table signage, suit trimmings to florals, emerged a softness that mirror the bride and groom's affection for one another. 

Southern, rustic elegance. Casual and intimate with great food, drinks, and music.

Almost all of our guests being from out of town, we just wanted everyone to fall in love with Charleston and have a great time!

Color palette included pink, blush, peach, gray, cream, and silver. The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation was the perfect venue for us - it incorporated all the southern aspects we wanted - plantation, live oaks with Spanish moss, view of the water, and beautiful gardens.

The table names were all restaurants that had a special meaning to me and Chris (favorite brunch place, anniversary dinners, favorite burger place, engagement dinner, etc.). We are big foodies and we love to celebrate with good food so we wanted to highlight that.

Cindy (of Engaging Events) put together a gift box for each of our guests that included a welcome note and personalized touches (map of Charleston, bottles of water, benne wafers, and a personalized golf ball with our names and date of wedding - Chris loves to play golf!)

Some of my favorites - walking down the aisle with my Dad and seeing Chris; celebrating with our wedding party right after the ceremony with oyster shooters, firefly sweet tea, and mint juleps; listening to my grandpa say the prayer before dinner - he is a character and full of life, you are never quite sure what he is going to say, but he did a great job and had everyone laughing!; spending time with our family and closet friends all in one place; eating, drinking, dancing, and enjoying the beautiful weather and breezes off the Ashley river; walking through the sparkler exit and riding off in style in a Bentley!
