Welcome parties and rehearsal dinners are a great way to get your family and friends photo-comfortable and candid ready on the wedding day as well as documenting another gathering of your most favorite people. It is also a time when you can personalize and play with themes in a more casual way.
Overlooking the Charleston Harbor, Alhambra Hall is nestled in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant. It is a historic venue with a ready made dance floor of hardwood, vaulted and wood beamed ceilings and wide southern porches.
These two were students of the book, “The Art of Gathering” by Priya Parker. Engaging Events pulled together activities of relaxing in rocking chairs to games of bocci ball, cornhole and jenga on the lawn. Indoors was a medley of a bourbon bar, southern styled food stationed in each corner, a game focused groom’s cake and photo-story boards were guests could find themselves and share stories of the mutual friends. The band, Yeehaw Junction kept the tunes and mood light and fun. There might have been some match-making endeavors as well as friend matching from different cities. The whole night was crafted with relationship in mind.
