These two had to shift gears twice due to Covid. Their original guest list was 250 and Charleston was not their original choice, but once they changed gears it was JOY full speed ahead.

I met up with Melissa and Jacque a month prior and we walked around downtown. They picked their ceremony spot and got a feel for the different directions we could go for images.

Style-wise : Jacque is retired Navy and sported his dress Whites at Melissa's request. Melissa found a Va Va Voom dress, but the accents really made it sparkle. The first accent was her homegrown smile which had locals stopping to bask in her happy. Make artist Pierra Smalls Beauty came into town to highlight her existing beauty. Melissa's headband was actually a belt that she modified. Finally instead of florals she opted for a broach bouquet (ABBA Design) that carried to sparkle feel.

Setting the scene : Melissa surprised Jacque and arrived in a carriage and buggy (Old South Carriage Company) at the Batterie. She walked to him in the gazebo where Coastal Chamber Musicians were playing. It was the first live music that I had heard since Covid and it felt like a gift to everyone in the vicinity. Later, they danced.

And then we went on a photo date and played and played and played some more.
