Society 1858 of the Gibbes Museum created another event to enjoy art and creativity in a 1940’s nightclub cabaret atmosphere at No. 5 Faber Street. The evening included Charleston’s local CherryShine Whiskey, caberet performances, photo-booth and nibbles by Hamby’s. The highlight of the evening was the drawing and announcement for original works of art by local artists. All proceeds benefit the 1858 Prize for Contemporary Southern Art.
Society 1858 is a young professionals, member auxiliary group of the Gibbes Museum of Art. They support the Gibbes Museum with social and educational programs tailored for up-and-coming art patrons and generally have a fun time in the process.
