Family Focused Ocean Course Wedding

It was our pleasure to document this family focused and family friendly Kiawah destination Ocean Course wedding.

Aside from the obvious beauty, relationships, friendships and love of the day, my favorite highlights include:

Bridal Party was two tiered. The bridal crew were mom friends in sky blue solids and floral dresses that all had daughters that were junior bridesmaids in deeper shades of seafoam and blues. They created a pre-ceremony environment of feminine fun for all ages - music, mimosas and mirrors. It was a fem fest. All the bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids had simple yet elegant white bouquets. We took bridal party photos ahead of time under the porches for lovely light and to keep everyone cool.

The processional was extra special in that each mom bridesmaids walked the aisle with her junior bridesmaid.

The surprise of the evening was Black Burro Event. The burros were a hit for every age. The two burros were the sweetest, cutest and friendliest four-legged guests while offering beer. Wearing greenery to frame the most adorable ears on the island. All ages gravitated to them for cuddles, selfies and beers.

Upstairs featured a kids buffet with all the things that kids want and adults secretly love. Yes, please.

Dessert galore. How to choose between desserts? Simple…you don’t have to because the couple provided ‘to go’ boxes. The couple and their kids cut the cake while also offering milk and cookies, brownies and chocolate covered strawberries.

Finally, ceremony dress and dance party dress. Why not? The bride she her elegant strapless layered gown for something short, sparkly and jelly shoes. Moms know best. Comfort is key.
