This could be our model family for Lifestyle Kiawah portraits because they wholeheartedly embrace their getaway and it shows. All families have their own flow and version of photo magic. This family blended a little glam, a little silly, lots of love, some green spaces and full on water submersion (at the end). We encourage fun and leave plenty of space for each family to tune the dial to what their version of fun might be.
Many of our families (like this one) are repeats and we are able to organically capture the play that in turn make the more classic images or poses more authentic. For new clients, a handful of descriptive words goes a long way in giving us ideas of range from formal to unconventional, classic to quirky, particular to laid back and final goals/preferences. The extra information allows us to create a better experience and images that match your personalities and style.
Their Kiawah vacation spot just happened to have a bridge and green space out the back that made our runway/forest background. Once we crossed the street to the beach a haze rolled in. The haze shifted the tone of the light to a mystic neutral tone.
The tide was just perfect for a wide berth of wet sand making the most stunning reflections.
