While scrolling through earlier blogpost on the Wedding Row, I came across our beauty of a wedding from 2009. The kindness, vibrant colors, culture and abundance of chocolate still grab me. My favorite element that we have yet to see or hear again was storyteller, Tim Lowry. He told love stories around a fire.
from bride: “After many years of a long distance relationship we were very excited to have so many people from so far away come to the wedding. The majority of our guests flew or drove a great distance to join our celebration. It stormed like crazy the night before and also the morning of but cleared just in time for the ceremony and everything turned out beautiful. We thought we would be nervous and jittery but nope it just felt very natural. I was very, very surprised how calm and normal the day felt. Nothing "went wrong" per say, but there were definitely moment of comic relief… My parents definitely gave me the most amazingly, beautiful wedding and the in-laws threw a great rehearsal dinner as well.... ”

In 2004, we landed in the City of Charleston and launched MCG Photography. From the beach to the air, plantations to cobbled streets, brides to babies, and events to art... we are grateful to have Charleston as our backdrop. Many thanks to those who have touched our lives from either in front of, or behind the camera. A special thank you to one of our favorite local musicians, Brendan James, for allowing us to add his lyrical grace to our anniversary tribute.
Rehearsal dinners are another avenue for personalizing a destination wedding weekend. This particular family incorporated their love of sailing and the ocean from venue, Lowndes Grove, to decor. The revved up nautical look was fresh and fun! Navy blue created the base (or anchor) that pulled the whole look together. Orange bloomed from the tables, bowls and drinks with vibrance. The festive appeal was carried through from beginning to end with the creative styling of Ivy Robinson Designs and florals by Tiger Lily! Thanks Ivy for creating this visual treat.
