Historic Rice Mill

Album : St Luke's and Rice Mill

About Albums:

MCG art books and albums are lovely keepsakes. Our goal is to capture images that are meaningful and beautiful. We hope the books are loved and that the memories are revisited again and again.

The album process is a team effort. First you pick your type of album. From there, we hone in on size and cover options. We are lucky and cursed to have an abundance of textures and colors to pull from. Next is narrowing down embossed text such as the wedding date and clients names. Then the homework begins and clients select favorite images through the online gallery and alert me when complete. The biggest complaint is that they have too many favorites. As far as complaints go, we will take it.

Once the images are selected, I create a layout that flows with your chosen images. We edit, tweak and adjust until we have the best visual story that you want on your shelf or coffee table. Sometimes, we need to cull the number of images further and other times there are spaces to add and fill. Generally by the third edit, we receive the green light to go and print.

The following example is a handful of Art Book Template. The layout reads left to right like a magazine. This couple noted the numbers of their favorite images for larger highlights.

Gathering Inspiration, Venues and Vendors:

For those gathering Charleston Wedding Photography inspiration for a fall event, the details are here! To get the look, connect with Engaging Events as they did the florals, coordination and decor!

These two said ‘yes’ to a first look in Washington Square Park along with wedding party/family portraits outside of St Lukes. From there, we went on a walk-about of Charleston vignettes around Chalmers Street and the Dock Street Theater. With the earlier fall sunset, this worked out great because we were able to get beautiful daylight images and the couple spent time with guests during cocktail hour. Photographing ceremonies at St Lukes Chapel is a treat as we can document from two angles for the medley of expressions. The wedding party then jumped on a trolley and headed to the Historic Rice Mill for the reception with eats from Good Food Catering and Music by Quiana Parler.

Wedding tidbits…. These two were all about Love, Play and Loved Ones. The smiles were ever-present and the real life fun (no staging:).
