River Course Classic Blog on PartySlate, Kiawah Island

Liz and Greg's wedding day weaved in their families, love of travel and historic interests. Visually the traditional tuxes with cornflower blue bridesmaid dresses and crisp white florals perfectly flowed inside Church of Our Savior and River Course. Thoughtful details such as ladies robes, airplane ornaments or bottle openers to represent their travel, Rolls Royce transportation paired with a jar of grey poupon and antique jewelry box for their love of classic and vintage.

The bride shared her thoughts on why they picked Charleston/Kiawah for their destination wedding: Charleston has always been a special place for us and has become a special place for our families. We have spent a lot of time in the city over the years visiting with family and exploring all that the city has to offer. I spent my summers in Charleston growing up, so it was important for me to share this part of my childhood with Greg. We have both fallen in love with the history and culture of the city. We love the balance the city offers of vibrant and exciting new restaurants with beautiful and peaceful scenery.
