Charleston Engagement : classic and quirky

Engagement sessions are SO much more than engagement sessions. They are a double date with cameras. They are the easy peasy ice-breakers on a calm day rather than the BIG ice-breaker on the full day. They are an opportunity for us to see how our couples fit together, what feels easy, how much direction you might want, what makes you laugh and possibly what is a no thanks. They are the opportunity for our clients to trust us and play with us beforehand, so on the wedding day it is all ease and comfort.

These two are saying I DO on Ilse of Palms and having their rehearsal dinner in Mount Pleasant, so we went with downtown Charleston for the engagement session to round out all the Lowcountry goodness of the area. Live oaks, green spaces, exposed brick, painted pastel exteriors, marsh grasses and the river were are goals to weave into the session. With that in mind, we started at the Batterie and strolled our way up Church Street to wrap up at the edge of Waterfront Park.
